What happened as a result
A Corrigendum was published on 4 June 2024 (DOI 10.1177/25148486241258320), issue-dated August 2024, correcting 18 references. The acknowledgements were updated to disclose ChatGPT assistance in line with Sage policy. The corrigendum records that the corrections do not alter the study's results or conclusions. Retraction Watch reported on 20 May 2024 that the journal would take corrective action pending publisher approval; the corrigendum is the action actually taken.
