Counsel — a sole practitioner — said he had not used ChatGPT but had used the generative-AI feature in Westlaw's 'Precision' product; the court rejected his argument that a legal AI tool should be treated more leniently than a consumer one.

Counsel and the petitioning creditors ordered to pay the Chapter 7 trustee $29,877 (trustee's counsel's fees) by 31 August 2026, under the court's inherent power and Bankruptcy Code §105. The debtor and the forum are independently verifiable on the S.D. Tex. bankruptcy docket as ROSSLYN2016 LLC, case 4:25-bk-31817 (jointly with Texas Esencia 2019 LLC, 4:25-bk-31816). That corroborates the case and the court; it does NOT corroborate the sanction, the amount, or the identification of the AI tool, each of which rests solely on the order as published by that database.
